Ball4Good Launches Music4Good Fundraiser to Benefit Families and Kids Impacted by COVID-19

We are student athletes raising funds for Ball4Good, an organization that supports communities through sports.  On Sunday, April 19th, we will have our first DJ/dance live session from 4:00pm -6:00pm on Facebook and Instagram on behalf of Ball4Good. The event is Music4Good by Ball4Good. We plan on hosting additional sessions for our viewers during this period of social distancing. The goal is to raise money for children impacted by COVID-19.

Since 2017, Ball4Good has supported 19+ organizations. including the local Boys & Girls Clubs of the Upstate; Miracle Hill Ministries, which serves homeless children and adults in South Carolina; the Project Hope Foundation, which provides services for individuals of all ages with autism; the Children’s Advocacy Center of Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union, which helps children who have been abused and the Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas.

This year, Ball4Good was planning its 4th annual Celebrity Basketball game with a goal to raise funds to support children enrolled at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, Citizen Scholars, Clemson University Tiger Alliance, the YMCA and Mental Fitness.
These organizations were chosen by 11 of our peers who serve on the Ball4Good Grants Committee and voted upon by students from Spartanburg County.

In addition to supporting these organizations with $1,000 each to support the children in their programs, Ball4Good is committed to raising additional funds to help children and families who have been adversely impacted by loss of jobs, homelessness, sickness and more.

Can you please donate to our cause if you are able? No amount is too small. And 100% of your donation will provide a direct benefit to a child. If you are unable to donate, please share our need with others. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #music4good by #ball4good.

Thank you for your support. You may also follow our work on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Please be safe.

Ball4Good Founder Releases 3rd Book to Motivate Children

Adom Appiah, founder of Ball4Good, has written a third book to motivate children. In the Spring of 2019, Adom was named the South Carolina High School State Honoree for the prestigious Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

As part of the Spirit of Community Awards celebrations, Adom visited Washington, DC elementary schools with 101 student State Honorees from across the United States. During the school visits, he was given the opportunity to read his book – Kids Can Change the World to first graders. The questions posed by these younger readers during the DC and prior school visits, motivated Adom to write a simpler version of the book for children from Pre-K through second grade.

Kids Can Change the World – Young Readers’ Edition, was released on August 5, 2019. The book is available in select bookstores and online.
